María Corina Machado oo ku soo laabatay Venezuela kadib toban bilood oo dibad-joog ah
Hoggaamiyaha mucaaradka oo ka soo muuqatay kaniisad ku taal gobolka Lara, kadibna Caracas u dhaqaaqay
Hoggaamiyaha mucaaradka Venezuela iyo qaadashada abaalmarinta Nobel Peace Prize, María Corina Machado, ayaa ku soo laabatay Venezuela kadib toban bilood oo ay dibadda ku jirtay, iyadoo ku dhawaaqday soo laabashadeeda barta X.
Soo laabashada iyo muuqaalkii ugu horreeyay
Machado ayaa barta X ku qortay: "I'm here, with you all." Markii hore waxay ka soo muuqatay kaniisadda Santa Rosa oo ku taal gobolka Lara ee galbeedka Venezuela, halkaas oo ay ku hareeraysnaayeen dad badan oo faraxsan. Kadib waxay u dhaqaaqday Caracas, halkaas oo boqolaal taageere ah ay ku soo urureen baabuurkeeda, iyadoo ay ku qortay "Here" markii ay gaadhay caasimadda.
Taageerayaasha iyo xaaladda siyaasadeed
Soo laabashada Machado ayaa caqabad ku ah madaxweynaha ku meel gaadhka ah Delcy Rodríguez, oo xilka la wareegay kadib markii ciidamada Maraykanka ay qabteen hoggaamiyihii hore Nicolás Maduro bishii January. Machado waxay codsatay in doorashooyin dhaqso ah la qabto, laakiin Washington waxay sheegtay in Venezuela marka hore xasilloonida loo baahan yahay. Edmundo González, oo ku tartamay Maduro doorashadii 2024 ee lagu muransanaa, ayaa barta X ku xaqiijiyay soo laabashada Machado, isagoo ku tilmaamay "maalin aad muhiim u ah Venezuelans".
Mawqifyada Maraykanka iyo taageerayaasha dibadda
González oo hadda dibad-joog ku ah Spain ayaa sheegay inuu rajeynayo inuu dhawaan ku biiro Machado si dalku "run ahaantii ugu horumaro xoriyadda", isagoo ku soo gabagabeeyay: "You know it, this is until the end." Madaxweyne Trump ayaa sheegay inuusan wax ka ogeyn soo laabashada Machado, isagoo ku tilmaamay "naag aad u fiican" oo uu yiri: "And I hope she's safe." Wasiirka Arrimaha Dibadda Marco Rubio ayaa sheegay in soo laabashada Machado ay tahay "direct result" wada-hadallada dib-u-heshiisiinta ee Maraykanku taageerayo.
The opposition leader and Nobel laureate announced her arrival on X, saying: "I'm here, with you all."
Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate María Corina Machado has returned to Venezuela after ten months abroad, announcing her arrival in a social media post on X in which she declared: "I'm here, with you all."
First Appearance at Church in Lara, Then Caracas
Machado made her first public appearance among worshippers at the Church of Santa Rosa in Lara state, western Venezuela, where she was surrounded by an ecstatic congregation. She then travelled to Caracas, where hundreds of cheering supporters swarmed her car, and she tweeted "Here" upon arrival in the capital.
A Challenge to Interim President Delcy Rodríguez
Machado's return poses a challenge to interim President Delcy Rodríguez, who took over after U.S. forces captured former leader Nicolás Maduro in January. The Trump administration has repeatedly sidelined Machado, despite her prominence in the opposition. She has called for elections to be held soon, but Washington says Venezuela must first stabilize.
González Hails Return as Trump and Rubio Respond
Opposition figure Edmundo González, who ran against Maduro in the disputed 2024 presidential election, confirmed Machado's return in a post on X, describing it as "a very important day for Venezuelans." He wrote: "Our sovereign voice returns with her to lead and guide this process." González Urrutia, currently in exile in Spain, said he expected to join Machado soon so the country could "truly advance towards freedom," concluding: "You know it, this is until the end."
Speaking to reporters as he left the White House on Sunday afternoon, President Trump said he knew nothing about Machado's return, describing her as "a very nice woman" and adding that she had given him her Nobel Prize. "And I hope she's safe," he said, adding that "we're doing really well in Venezuela." Secretary of State Marco Rubio released a statement claiming that Machado's return was a "direct result" of U.S. supported reconciliation talks.
