Wasaaradda Arrimaha Dibadda iyo Iskaashiga Caalamiga ah ee Soomaaliya waxay sheegtay in tallaabooyinkaas lagu qaaday iyada oo aan la helin ogolaanshaha Dowladda Federaalka, sidaas darteedna ay yihiin buraasho aan wax saameyn sharci ah lahayn. Tallaabooyinkaas ayaa la sheegay inay daba socdeen aqoonsiga Israa'iil ee Somaliland bishii Diseembar 2025, kaas oo Soomaaliya sheegtay inay horey u diideen Midowga Afrika, IGAD, Jaamacadda Carabta iyo Ururka Iskaashiga Islaamka.

Soomaaliya waxay digniin u dirtay in tallaabooyinka dhiirigeliya kala qaybsanaanta iyo dayaca xuduudaha caalamka loo aqoonsan yahay ay kordhin karaan xiisadda Badda Cas iyo Gacanka Cadmeed, gaar ahaan xilligan oo amni-darro gobolku jiro. Dowladda Federaalka waxay Israa'iil ugu baaqday inay isla markiiba ka noqoto tallaabooyinkaas, waxayna dalalka iyo ururada caalamka ugu baaqday inay diidaan oo ka fogaadaan wax kasta oo xaqiijin kara tallaabooyinkaas.
Foreign Ministry says the move was made without Mogadishu's consent and reaffirms that Somaliland remains part of Somalia
Somalia's Federal Government has strongly condemned Israel's purported accreditation of an ambassador in Hargeisa and the laying of a cornerstone for what it called a so-called embassy on Somali territory, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said. The Ministry declared the actions null and void, with no legal effect.
Mogadishu Rejects Actions Taken Without Its Consent
The Ministry said the accreditation and cornerstone laying were undertaken without the consent of the Federal Government and were therefore null and void. It reaffirmed that Hargeisa and the Somaliland region remain an integral part of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The Ministry stressed that establishing diplomatic relations and permanent diplomatic missions requires the consent of the sovereign state, in line with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Ministry Links Measures to December 2025 Recognition
According to the Ministry, the measures followed Israel's recognition of Somaliland in December 2025. Somalia said that recognition had already been rejected by the African Union, IGAD, the League of Arab States and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The Ministry warned that actions encouraging fragmentation and disregarding internationally recognised borders could heighten tensions in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, particularly amid existing regional insecurity.
Calls for Reversal and a Reserved Legal Right
The Federal Government called on Israel to immediately reverse the measures. It also urged states and international organisations to reject them and to refrain from any engagement that could confer legitimacy on the actions. The Ministry said Somalia reserves the right to pursue appropriate diplomatic, political and legal measures under international law to defend its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, reiterating that the unity of the Somali nation is not negotiable.
