Israeli Military Orders Uprooting of Olive Groves in Jenin

Jenin, West Bank – 26 July 2026 – The Israeli military has issued two military orders to uproot vegetation and olive trees, and seize Palestinian land in Jenin governorate in the occupied West Bank.

The first order calls for the removal of vegetation and olive trees from 32.941 dunums (8.13 acres) of land belonging to the towns of Jaba’ and Ajjah, south of Jenin. The second order provides for the seizure of 22.026 dunums (5.44 acres) of land belonging to the town of Al-Yamun, west of Jenin.

Palestinian security sources told WAFA that the orders are part of an Israeli campaign to expand settlements and restrict Palestinian access to land. Critics have condemned the orders, accusing the Israeli military of violating international law and causing harm to Palestinian farmers.
