Cape Verde’s hero of the World Cup, goalkeeper Vozinha, has finalized a move to Chilean club side Colo Colo.

The 40-year-old shot-stopper, who captivated audiences with his remarkable saves against top-notch teams at the global event, will travel to Chile for a medical examination before his official unveiling.

Colo Colo president Anibal Mosa confirmed the agreement, stating, “Vozinha will be a Colo Colo player. He will undergo the usual medical checks and be presented at the Estadio Monumental in the coming days.”

Vozinha’s exceptional performances at the World Cup earned him a place in FIFA’s fan-selected dream team. The experienced goalkeeper had previously left Portuguese second-tier side Chaves before the summer.

Colo Colo, who are currently leading the Chilean Primera Division, expressed delight at securing the services of the renowned goalkeeper, citing his World Cup display as deserving of the move and the added marketing value it brings.
