Dowladda Federaalka Australia oo ku baaqday 'digital detox' dugsiyada dhexdooda
Wasiirka Waxbarashada Jason Clare ayaa sheegay in qalin iyo warqad loo baahan yahay in ka badan teknoolojiyadda.
Dowladda federaalka Australia ayaa ku baaqday 'digital detox' dugsiyada dhexdooda, iyadoo warbixin cusub ay muujinayso walaacyo ku saabsan isticmaalka teknoolojiyadda dhijitaalka ah iyo AI ee fasallada, sida ay sheegtay ABC Australia.
Warbixinta iyo qorshaha dowladda
Warbixinta cusub ee dowladda ayaa tilmaamaysa walaacyo ku saabsan AI oo wax u dhaqan karta fikirka naqdiinta, feejignaanta iyo xallinta mushkiladaha carruurta. Dowladda waxay qorshaynaysaa in ay yarayso waqtiga ardayda ay ku qaataan shaashadda oo ay xaddido isticmaalka AI dugsiyada si waxbarashada loo hagaajiyo.
Hadalka Wasiirka iyo tillaabooyinka la qorsheeyay
Wasiirka Waxbarashada Jason Clare ayaa ABC Radio National ku sheegay Khamiista in uusan ku doodayn in iPad-yada la gubo, laakiin uu sheegay in dood wanaagsan ay jirto oo ah in qalin iyo warqad badan iyo teknoolojiyad yar la isticmaalo. Wasiirrada waxbarashada ee gobollada iyo federaalka ayaa ogolaaday in ay tixgeliyaan xaddidaad qaran oo ku saabsan isticmaalka shaashadda.
Xaddidaadaha gobollada iyo tijaabooyinka
Xaddidaadaha waqtiga shaashadda ayaa hore loogu tilmaamay NSW iyo Victoria, waxaana dhawaan lagu tijaabin doonaa WA. Qaar ka mid ah imtixaannada NAPLAN ee sannadka 5aad ayaa ku noqon doona qoraal qoran, halka hadda dhammaantood online lagu sameeyo. Taskforce cusub ayaa eegi doona 'digital detox' dugsiyada, wuxuuna warbixin u gudbin doonaa wasiirrada saddex jeer sannadka soo socda.
Education Minister Jason Clare says there is a strong case for more pen and paper and less tech in classrooms.
The federal government is pushing for a "digital detox" in Australian schools, planning to cut student screen time and limit artificial intelligence use to improve learning, according to a new government report.
Ministers Back National Screen Limits
State and federal education ministers have agreed to consider national limits on screen use. Screen time limits have already been flagged in NSW and Victoria and are soon to be piloted in WA. Education Minister Jason Clare told ABC Radio National on Thursday: "I'm not making the argument here to burn the iPads … but I am saying that there's a pretty good argument here for more pen and paper and less tech."
Written Tests, Taskforce and AI Rules
The report flags that some year 5 NAPLAN tests will return to a written assessment; currently all are done online. A new taskforce will look at "digital detoxing" in schools and is set to report to ministers three times next year. Generative AI will be restricted in primary schools and for high school assessments.
Mixed Evidence and Patchy Rules
The report says: "When technology is used, it should be for a purpose, including supporting student learning and wellbeing, and if it causes harm, it should be restricted." There is no comprehensive national data on how much time Australian children spend on devices at school. Phone bans are implemented at state level, while almost everything else about tech use has been decided school by school, including whether students bring a laptop and which AI tools they can use.
