IGAD Executive Secretary, Workneh Gebeyehu, today met with Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Somalia, on the margins of the AU CAADP Summit in Kampala.

Their discussions centered on strengthening regional peace, security, and development, with a particular focus on fostering closer collaboration and driving sustainable progress.

The Executive Secretary extended his congratulations to the Republic of Somalia for their part in the constructive engagement and cooperative spirit during the Ankara Declaration.
