Araghchi speaks with regional leaders, threatens response to US attacks, state media says

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reported late on Saturday that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held phone calls with senior officials in Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to warn against renewed U.S. military action and threatening consequences if strikes resumed.
The calls reportedly took place in the hours before President Donald Trump said he had cancelled plans for U.S. forces to resume attacks in Iran.
“Warning against any adventurous actions by the U.S. military, the Iranian foreign minister emphasized the country’s full readiness to safeguard its national sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security,” the IRNA readout said.

Araghchi, the report added, said that “any aggression or hostile act by the U.S. and the Israeli regime, or any participation and alignment by regional countries, would be met with a decisive and proportionate response from Iran’s armed forces, with those responsible bearing full accountability for all consequences arising from such adventures.”
