Las Anod (HOL) – The SSC-Khaatumo Police have arrested 23
suspects in connection with a brutal gang rape and torture incident that
occurred in Las Anod on the night of Friday, June 14, 2025, at approximately
10:30 p.m.
According to an official press release from the Police
Command, the attack involved two young girls. The arrests were made during a
swift operation carried out within 48 hours. Authorities confirmed that one
suspect remains at large and is actively being pursued by security agencies.
The SSC-Khaatumo Police emphasized their zero-tolerance
policy toward human rights violations, vowing that all those involved will face
justice.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media,
with calls for swift accountability and justice.
Police officials urged the residents of Las Anod and the
broader SSC-Khaatumo community to place their trust in the security forces and
