    Somali Danab Special Forces participate in Justified Accord Military Exercise in Kenya

    Mogadishu (HOL) – The Somali National Army’s elite Danab Special Forces took part in the Justified Accord military exercise in Kenya, marking their second appearance at the event.

    The Somali Special Forces Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Salah Abdi, attended the closing ceremony in Kenya. The Danab Special Forces demonstrated skill, discipline, and resilience during the exercise.

    Justified Accord is U.S. Africa Command’s largest military exercise in East Africa. Led by the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), the exercise brings together more than 1,000 personnel from over 20 nations.

    The event builds readiness for U.S. joint forces, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and enhances multinational interoperability for humanitarian, disaster, and crisis response.

    The participation of the Somali National Army underscores its progress in training and international collaboration, further strengthening its defense capabilities and operational readiness.
