Mogadishu (HOL) – Somali Council of Ministers approved the extension of the term for the National Disability Agency Board for an additional four years during its weekly meeting in Mogadishu on Thursday.
The Ministry of Women and Human Rights Development had requested the cabinet renew the Disability Agency Board’s term.
Ambassador Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, the Minister of Family, expressed her appreciation to the Council of Ministers for their decision to renew the term of the National Disability Board.
“I would like to thank the members of the Council of Ministers, led by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, for renewing the term of the Board of Directors of the National Disability,” said Minister Al-Makhzoumi.
The National Disability Agency Board consists of two men and three women: Ali Abdullahi Salad, Mohamed Abdul Jama, Hawa Jama Abdi, Fartun Ali Abdirahman, and Sundus Abdullahi Hussein.
During the cabinet meeting, which Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre chaired, the council also approved the Inclusive Digital Policy and the National E-Governance Strategy to advance its digital transformation and enhance government efficiency.
