Ikko MindOne Pro: Square Phone with Major Flaws
The charming Ikko MindOne Pro isn’t all it’s shaped up to be. Despite its small size and square screen, this phone falls short in terms of performance, battery life, and camera quality.
Design and Features
The Ikko MindOne Pro features a square-ish design with a slightly rectangular frame. Its camera flips up for selfies and can be partially opened for use as a stand or PopSocket-like accessory. A Clicks-style keyboard case is also available.
Performance and Battery Life
Initial setup caused significant heat generation, and battery life is poor, dropping from 90% to 60% in just over an hour. The phone also gets warm easily with normal usage.
Camera and Display
The camera quality is underwhelming, with inconsistent color processing and poor performance in dim lighting. The square screen suffers from cropping issues with vertical content and an onscreen keyboard that consumes a large portion of the display.
Thankfully, Ikko offers options to adjust the resolution and display aspect ratio.
