Drone Strikes Target Civilian Gatherings in Gaza City
Medical sources confirmed that Israeli drones struck a gathering of civilians near the Al-Shati Camp market, west of Gaza city, injuring several Palestinians. Another drone strike hit tents of displaced persons close to the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood market in the northwest of the city, wounding a Palestinian. These attacks occurred despite the active ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
The strikes targeted densely populated civilian areas, raising concerns about the safety of displaced families and market-goers. The Al-Shati Camp and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods have been home to thousands of displaced Palestinians since the escalation of hostilities began in October 2023.
Heavy Fire Engulfs Khan Yunis, Rafah, and Northern Gaza
In the southern Gaza Strip, attack helicopters opened fire east of Khan Yunis, while heavy tank fire was directed from positions east of the city toward its center. An Israeli drone also struck near the Tabariya station in the Al-Mawasi area of the city, adding to the intensity of the military operations.
Meanwhile, the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah faced artillery shelling and heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles. In the north, Israeli gunboats fired heavily at the northwestern areas of Gaza city, and Israeli vehicles and gunboats opened fire west of Beit Lahia, demonstrating the occupation forces' broad operational reach across the Strip.
Cumulative Toll of Israeli Aggression Remains Severe
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll from Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 74,016 killed and 175,068 injured. These figures underscore the devastating human cost of the ongoing conflict and the continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Despite the ceasefire, occupation forces persist in launching airstrikes, artillery shelling, and heavy gunfire across various areas of the Strip. The international community has called for strict adherence to the agreement and an immediate end to all military operations that endanger civilian lives.
