Mbadi asserted that none of the opposition leaders are suitable for the presidency because they have failed to demonstrate how to improve the nation's economy. He noted that while former President Uhuru Kenyatta left the economy in tatters, the current government has worked to improve it, yet it is not yet at the desired level. Consequently, he urged residents of Nyanza to avoid joining the new wave of opposition led by Sifuna.
The Cabinet Secretary highlighted that Sifuna has taken too long to unveil a political party he intends to use for his presidential run. Mbadi remarked that despite being just a few months away from the General Election, Sifuna remains in confusion regarding his party affiliation. He emphasized that opposition leaders cannot make any economic change in the country and should not be elected.
Defense of Current Infrastructure Projects
In defense of the current administration, Mbadi pointed to the significant improvements in mega infrastructural projects across the nation as part of the economic transformation strategy. He specifically cited the 74 km Mbita-Sindo-Sori road and the Lake Victoria ring road as key achievements that residents should support.
Mbadi concluded by urging the public to support President William Ruto to ensure the continuation of development projects in the region. He stated that supporting the current leadership is essential for acquiring more infrastructure and economic benefits for the people.
