Mogadishu (HOL) – The Somali National Army, particularly the elite Danab commandos, carried out military operations in coordination with Jubbaland’s Dervish forces in Jamaame district, Lower Juba region, in the past few hours. 

The operations targeted several areas, including Muse Haji, Malaayley, Bandar Jadid, and Harare, where the joint forces engaged al-Shabab militants. 

According to military officials, several al-Shabab fighters were killed, and the group’s positions in these areas were destroyed. However, the exact number of casualties was not disclosed. 

Officers leading the mission told local media that operations against al-Shabab strongholds in Jubbaland will continue as part of ongoing efforts to weaken the militant group’s presence in the region.
