Mogadishu (HOL) – Somalia’s newly appointed non-resident Ambassador to Tajikistan, Fathudin Ali Mohamed, presented his diplomatic credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Mr. Farrukh Sharifzoda, during a ceremony marking the beginning of his mission.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the current state of Somali-Tajik relations and explored prospects for further collaboration across various sectors.
They also addressed other issues of mutual interest, with both sides expressing their commitment to deepening ties between the two nations.
Ambassador Fathudin, who is based in Ankara, Turkey, conveyed greetings from Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to Tajikistan’s President and reiterated his dedication to enhancing diplomatic relations.
He emphasized the importance of advancing partnerships that can benefit both countries in trade, development, and security cooperation.
The ambassador’s presentation of credentials coincided with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s recent reception of eight newly appointed ambassadors to Somalia, marking another milestone in Somalia’s broader strategy to strengthen international partnerships and expand its diplomatic footprint.
