Former British No 1 Jack Draper is set to have to qualify for the US Open this year as the 2024 semi-finalist missed out on a spot in the main draw.

Draper is poised to return to action at the DC Open in Washington from July 27 after missing Wimbledon due to a recurrence of bone bruising in his left arm.
The injury was the latest blow for the 24-year-old, who has managed only a handful of tournaments since first stepping away from the tour a year ago with the same issue.
Draper’s ranking has taken a hit as a result, dropping down to 147th in the world, resulting in him having to likely qualify in order to play the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season.
