The Field Support Team (FST), a mechanism of the Global WASH Cluster, carried out 12 deployments across 11 countries in 2025 and provided remote support to 28 countries, according to its annual report. The team answered 155 requests and delivered a total of 503 days of remote support during the year.

Consortium structure and areas of support

The FST is designed to provide operational support to National Coordination Platforms in areas including Cluster Coordination, Information Management, Assessments, Capacity Building, Strategy, Preparedness and Transition. In 2025, the FST Consortium was led by Action contre la Faim France (ACF) and brought together iMMAP Inc., IMPACT Initiatives and OXFAM.

The team operates under the oversight of the Cluster Advocacy and Support Team (CAST/UNICEF). It delivers support to National Coordination Platforms through surge deployments as well as remote and global support.

Deployments and humanitarian response

The 12 deployments contributed to humanitarian responses around the world. Among them, the FST supported the response to Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, strengthened emergency preparedness and transition in Bangladesh and Niger, and advanced localization and locally led coordination in Mali and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Beyond deployments, the FST provided remote support to 28 countries: Angola, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, CAR, Chad, DRC, Ethiopia, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, oPt, Panama, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine and Venezuela.
