Natiijooyinka hore waxay muujinayaan in 76% ay taageereen ku sii nagaanista Kanada, halka ku dhawaad 24% ay taageereen bilaabista hannaan kala-guur.
Cod-bixiyayaasha gobolka Alberta ee Kanada ayaa si weyn u taageeray ku sii nagaanista dalka, iyadoo natiijooyinka hore ee aftida ay muujinayaan in 76% ay taageereen midnimada, halka ku dhawaad 24% ay taageereen bilaabista hannaan kala-guur, sida laga soo xigtay natiijooyin aan rasmi ahayn oo ka soo baxay Elections Alberta.
Carney iyo Smith oo soo dhaweeyay natiijooyinka
Ra'iisul Wasaaraha Kanada Mark Carney ayaa sheegay in cod-bixiyayaasha Alberta ay doorteen midnimo. Wuxuu yiri: "Albertans made a clear choice. They chose unity, to build together, and to take care of each other. Above all, Albertans chose Canada." Carney wuxuu intaa ku daray in natiijadan ay u ogolaanayso Kanadiinta inay si wadajir ah u horay u socdaan, isla markaana ay dedejiso dadaallada lagu kala-duwayo ganacsiga, lagu horumariyo mashaariicda waaweyn ee kaabayaasha, lagana dhigo Kanada xarun tamarta caalamiga ah oo Alberta ay udub-dhexaad ka tahay.
Guddoomiyaha Alberta Danielle Smith ayaa soo dhaweeyay natiijooyinka hore, iyadoo sheegtay inay muujinayaan taageero ballaaran oo ku sii nagaanista Kanada. Waxay ku qortay baraha bulshada: "Albertans have voted for a stronger Alberta in a united Canada." Smith ayaa aftidan ku dhawaaqday cadaadis ka yimid dadka gooni-u-shaqeeyaasha ah ee ku dhex jira xisbigeeda hoggaamiya ee United Conservative Party, inkastoo ay ka soo horjeedo madax-bannaanida.
Gooni-u-shaqeeyaasha oo ka hadlay natiijooyinka
Hoggaamiye ka tirsan dhaqdhaqaaqa gooni-u-shaqeeyaasha, Keith Wilson, ayaa sheegay in aanay weli haysan natiijooyinka kama dambaysta ah, isla markaana uu qirey in ugu yaraan rubuc ka mid ah dadka Alberta ay dareemayaan in Alberta loo baahan yahay in si wanaagsan loola dhaqmo. Wuxuu yiri: "We don't have the final results. I think the numbers are going to fluctuate, but it is fair to say that at least a quarter of Albertans feel that Alberta needs to be treated better."
Jeff Rath oo ka tirsan Alberta Prosperity Project ayaa sheegay in dhaqdhaqaaqa aanu meesha ka baxayn. Wuxuu yiri: "We're not going anywhere. We've dominated the conversation in the last year. We've been educating Albertans on the benefits of independence, and we're going to continue moving forward." Dhanka kale, Thomas Lukaszuk, oo ahaa ku-xigeenkii hore ee guddoomiyaha Alberta oo hoggaamiyay ololaha Forever Canadian ee ka soo horjeeda kala-guurka, ayaa u sheegay taageerayaashiisa: "We are a solid country that's united from coast to coast to coast."
Cod-bixinno iyo dib-u-dhac ku yimid natiijooyinka
Natiijooyinka ayaa dib u dhacay ka dib markii furitaanno daahday ay ku qasbeen in ka badan 100 xarun cod-bixin ah inay kordhiyaan saacadaha cod-bixinta Isniintii. Aftidan ma ahayn cod-bixin toos ah oo ku saabsan madax-bannaanida; haddii la ansixiyo waxay Alberta gelin lahayd waddo ku wajahan cod-bixin mustaqbal oo ku saabsan kala-guurka Kanada.
Cod-bixiye Dustin Degenhardt oo ku sugan Wainwright ayaa sheegay in Alberta muddo dheer si xun loola dhaqmay dowladda federaalka Kanada. Wuxuu yiri: "Alberta has essentially been treated as, you know, a colony. They want to take and take and take from us, and not return anything." Dave Malka, 59, oo ku sugan Edmonton, ayaa dhaleeceeyay kharashka lagu bixinayo aftidan halkii lacagta loo isticmaali lahaa daryeelka caafimaadka, isagoo sheegay in aftidan ay timi waqti aad u xun.
The vote was not a direct independence ballot; approval would have set Alberta on a path toward a future separation vote.
Early referendum results in Alberta showed 76% support for remaining in Canada and close to 24% for beginning a process toward separation, with more than 1.5 million votes counted, according to unofficial results from Elections Alberta. The referendum was not a direct vote on independence.
Carney and Smith welcome the result
Prime Minister Mark Carney said the outcome was a clear decision by Alberta voters. "Albertans made a clear choice. They chose unity, to build together, and to take care of each other. Above all, Albertans chose Canada," he said. Carney said the result would allow Canadians to move forward together and accelerate efforts to diversify trade, develop major infrastructure projects and make Canada a global energy powerhouse, with Alberta at its center.
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith welcomed the early results, saying they showed widespread support for remaining in Canada. "Albertans have voted for a stronger Alberta in a united Canada," Smith posted on social media. Smith called the referendum amid pressure from separatists within her governing United Conservative Party, despite opposing independence.
Separatists see a quarter of voters behind them
Keith Wilson, a leader of the separatist movement, said the count was not final. "We don't have the final results. I think the numbers are going to fluctuate, but it is fair to say that at least a quarter of Albertans feel that Alberta needs to be treated better," he said. Jeff Rath of the Alberta Prosperity Project said the campaign would continue: "We're not going anywhere. We've dominated the conversation in the last year. We've been educating Albertans on the benefits of independence, and we're going to continue moving forward."
Thomas Lukaszuk, a former Alberta deputy premier who led the Forever Canadian campaign against separation, told supporters, "We are a solid country that's united from coast to coast to coast." Results were delayed after late openings forced more than 100 polling stations to extend voting hours Monday.
Voters voice frustration and concern
Dustin Degenhardt, a Wainwright voter, said Albertans have long been mistreated by Canada's federal government. "Alberta has essentially been treated as, you know, a colony. They want to take and take and take from us, and not return anything," he said after voting Monday.
Dave Malka, 59, of Edmonton, criticized spending money on a "referendum on a referendum" rather than healthcare. "It seems to be happening at the absolute worst time when we should be united; instead we're fighting among ourselves," he said.
