Meta oo dib u dhigay shuruudaha ganacsi cusub ka dib cabasho ka timid madbacadaha
Afhayeenka Meta Daniel Roberts ayaa sheegay in shuruudaha dhaqan galayaan 20ka Nofembar
Dib u dhigniin iyo jadwalka cusub
Afhayeenka Meta Daniel Roberts ayaa sheegay in shuruudaha ganacsi ee cusub dhaqan galayaan 20ka Nofembar, halka markii hore loo qorsheeyay inay dhaqan galaan 30ka Oktoobar. Roberts ayaa sheegay in dib u dhigniinta ay siinayso Meta waqti dheeraad ah oo ay ku sharraxdo waxa isbeddelaya iyo waxa aan isbeddelayn.
Walaaca ku saabsan tababarka AI
Shuruudaha ganacsi ayaa u muuqday kuwo siinaya Meta fasax ay si xor ah uga soo qaaddo mareegaha wararka ee isticmaala barnaamijyadeeda, iyadoo waliba maaddada u isticmaalayso tababarka AI. Meta ayaa shuruudaha wax ka beddeshay iyadoo meesha ka saartay ereyga ku saabsan tababarka alaabteeda, balse khubarada sharciga ayaa ku dooday in isbeddelkaasi aanu ku filnayn inuu meesha ka saaro suurtagalnimada tababarka AI.
Cabashooyinka madbacadaha iyo codka Roberts
Ururka News/Media Alliance ayaa Khamiistii warqad u diray maamulaha guud ee Meta Mark Zuckerberg, isagoo dalbanaya in shirkaddu dib u eegto shuruudaheeda ganacsi sababo la xiriira walaac ah inay sababi karaan waxyeello ba'an madbacadaha. Roberts ayaa sheegay in dib u dhigniinta ay siinayso Meta waqti ay ku caddeyso sida Meta u isticmaasho crawlers-ka shabakadda iyo xaqiiqda ah in milkiilayaasha macluumaadka ay weli awood u leeyihiin inay isticmaalaan robots.txt si ay u muujiyaan dookhooda.
Spokesperson Daniel Roberts says the delay gives Meta time to explain how web crawlers are used and how robots.txt preferences still apply.
Meta is delaying enforcement of its new business terms after publishers raised concerns that the terms could allow the company to scrape news sites for AI training. Meta spokesperson Daniel Roberts says the terms will now go into effect on November 20th.
Terms Moved From October 30th to November 20th
The business terms were originally supposed to go into effect on October 30th. Roberts says the delay is meant "to allow more time for us to explain to our partners and stakeholders what’s changing and what’s not." He also says the extra time will let Meta lay out "how Meta uses web crawlers and the fact that content owners will still be able to use robots.txt to signal preferences."
Publishers Question AI Training Language
The terms appeared to give Meta permission to freely scrape the news sites that use its platforms, while using the material for AI training. Meta updated the terms to remove language about "training" its products, but legal experts argued the change is not enough to rule out the possibility of AI training.
Alliance and EU, UK Advertisers Press Meta
The News/Media Alliance sent a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Thursday, demanding that the company revise its business terms over concerns that they would cause "severe harm" to publishers. Digital advertisers and publishers in the European Union and the UK also urged regulators to force Meta to halt its new terms.
