Dazzle: AI-ga oo ku saleysan sawirrada
Marissa Mayer waxay sheegtay in sawirrada ay tahay waxbarasho la aqoonsan waayay, iyadoo Dazzle uu ka helo xogtaada kaliya sawirradaada. Waxay ku dhiirrigelisay in sawirradaagu ay kuugu fiican yihiin macluumaadkaaga.
Dazzle wuxuu ka faa'iideysanayaa sawirradaada si uu u ogaado waxa aad jeceshahay, meesha aad tagto, iyo waxa carruurtaada ku jira. Wuxuu sidoo kale ka caawin karaa inaad hesho macluumaadkaaga iyo shaqooyinkaaga.

Former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has unveiled Dazzle, a personal AI assistant that derives all its context from a user's photo library rather than email or calendar data, raising an $8 million seed round last December.
A Different Approach to Personal AI
Dazzle was unveiled in September 2026 and takes a distinct path compared to competitors like Meta's Muse and Instinct. Instead of mining text-heavy apps, the assistant focuses exclusively on the images stored on a user's phone. Mayer argues that photos are an underappreciated source of information and that a camera roll is worth millions of words.
The product is available through its dedicated app or via text messaging. Mayer's previous startup, Sunshine, had launched an AI-powered photo-sharing tool called Shine in 2024, but it was widely criticized and eventually shut down. Mayer says Dazzle builds on the interesting intellectual property developed during that earlier venture.
From Hobbies to Holiday Plans
By analyzing photos, Dazzle claims to understand a user's hobbies, food preferences, style, and social circle. It can scan recent images to populate a calendar from an event flyer or locate a repair person after spotting a broken garage door. The assistant also mines the photo library to generate personalized ideas for vacations and birthday gifts.
During a demo, Mayer used Dazzle to brainstorm family outings, and the assistant deduced her family loves escape rooms, suggesting multiple locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. When tested with vacation recommendations, it suggested Mediterranean spots based on past trips to Spain and Greece, though it also included Sicily from four years ago.
Privacy and Personalization
Mayer emphasized that Dazzle prioritizes privacy and discards any personal information the AI flags as sensitive. She contends that users may feel more comfortable handing over their photo libraries to an AI rather than granting access to sensitive data like emails and messages, given security concerns with other products.
While the assistant has some blind spots, such as failing to remember a child already knows how to roller skate, the suggestions feel more personal than what an AI assistant that only knows a user's calendar and email would provide. Mayer believes the product will improve with time as it processes more data.
