Kalekaamida Meta ee Muse waxay sameysaa bogag gaar ah oo ku saabsan qoyska iyo xiriirkaaga
Kalekaamida AI-ka ee Meta ee Muse ayaa noqotay mid caan ah, iyadoo illaa boqolkiiba dadka isticmaala ay soo dejisanayaan. Waxaa la ogaaday inay sameysato bogag gaar ah oo ku saabsan qoyska, xiriirka, iyo dadka la xiriirsan yahay, iyadoo la isticmaalayo macluumaadka la siiyo.
Sida ay u shaqeeyso Muse iyo macluumaadka la xiriirka
Badhayaasha AI-ga ayaa ka faahfaahiyay in Muse ay sameysato bogag gaar ah oo ku saabsan qof kasta oo ku jira nolosha isticmaale, kaas oo ku jira qoyska, xiriirka, iyo dadka la xiriirsan yahay. Tani waxay dhacdaa maalin kasta, iyadoo la isticmaalayo macluumaadka la siiyo.
Muse waxay leedahay mashruuc gaar ah oo kasta oo isticmaale, kaas oo xakameeya macluumaadka isticmaale. Meta waxay sheegtay inay u baahan tahay in isticmaale la xaqiijiyo haddii kale ay sameeyaan tallaabooyin muhiim ah, sida inay u diraan email ama ay iibka sameeyaan.
Xiriirka iyo macluumaadka la xiriirka
Miranda Bogen, oo ah hoggaamiyaha Laborada Maamulka AI-ga ee Midigta Dimuqraadiga, waxay sheegtay in Muse ay diiradda saarto xiriirka iyo dadka la xiriirsan yahay, iyadoo la isticmaalayo macluumaadka la siiyo.
Karan Joshi, badhaayaha AI-ga, waxaa la weydiiyay inuu ka faahfaahinayo sida Muse ay u shaqeeyso, isagoo sheegay inay diiradda saarto xiriirka iyo dadka la xiriirsan yahay, iyadoo la isticmaalayo macluumaadka la siiyo.
Meta's new personal assistant, Muse, has become a viral hit with millions of downloads, but researchers have now extracted its internal files to reveal how it organizes user data. The leaked instructions show the AI is designed to create a dedicated page for every person in a user's life, compiling hourly data on family, partners, friends, and colleagues to understand personal relationships.
Deep Dive into Personal Relationships
Independent AI safety researcher Karan Joshi was able to extract an extensive array of Muse instructions by asking the agent to copy and share its own software files. One specific instruction appears to be the ability for the system to create 'a page for every person in the user's life.' This hourly process involves compiling data on family, partners, friends, colleagues, 'collaborators,' and people you 'follow,' the instructions say.
The documentation indicates that a person's history could include backstory such as 'the trip in March, the argument that got resolved, the milestone last week.' The instructions also focus on recording relationship details such as 'how close they are, what it is built on, how they act with each other, and what it seems to need right now.' The Strengthening section suggests ways a relationship could be improved, including, 'A reason to call, a date worth remembering, something they said to circle back on, a way to be there for them that matters.'
Privacy Concerns and Meta's Defense
Miranda Bogen, the director of the Center for Democracy and Technology's AI Governance Lab, says Muse appears to have more emphasis on relationships and personal contacts than rivals' systems. She noted that these tools are actively soliciting users to plug their whole lives in—their emails, calendars, financial institutions, everything in order to be helpful assistance. 'That's dramatically more information than people might have otherwise given to some of these companies,' Bogen says.
In response, Meta spokesperson Daniel Roberts told WIRED that for any agent to be useful, it needs context about the user and those they interact with. 'Muse gathers that based on public information and from what you've chosen to share,' Roberts said. 'It's not only what we explicitly tell them, but what they can infer from us.' Meta also states that Muse is designed to seek human confirmation before completing actions like sending an email or making a purchase.
