Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre congratulated the newly elected leaders and urged them to prioritise peace and security, social cohesion, reconciliation and improved public services. Speaker of the House of the People Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur (Jaamac) welcomed the results and commended the Hirshabelle House of Representatives, candidates and people of the state for demonstrating political maturity, patience and civic responsibility throughout the process.

South West State Leader Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), former Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi and Galmudug State Leader-elect Liban Ahmed Hassan also congratulated the new Hirshabelle leadership. The congratulating leaders expressed confidence that the new administration would strengthen peace, security, reconciliation, state-building and development. Liban highlighted the longstanding ties between Hirshabelle and Galmudug and called for closer cooperation between the neighbouring states.
