Baaritaan BBC ah oo sheegay in RSF ay si nidaamsan u burburisay nidaamka caafimaadka el-Fasher
UN human rights chief Volker Türk ayaa ku tilmaamay natiijooyinka inay yihiin kuwo aad u walaac geliya, isagoo sheegay in weerarrada RSF ay dhici karaan inay yihiin dambiyo dagaal.
Baaritaan ay BBC sameysay ayaa helay caddayn sheegaya in dagaalyahannada paramilitary-ka Suudaan ay si nidaamsan u burburiyeen nidaamka caafimaadka magaalada el-Fasher intii lagu jiray go'doomintii dheer iyo qabsashadii magaalada ee Darfur sanad ka hor.
Weerarro badan oo lagu qaaday goobaha caafimaadka
Baaritaanka ayaa daaha ka qaaday faahfaahin ku saabsan ugu yaraan 43 weerar oo kala duwan oo lagu qaaday isbitaallo iyo goobo caafimaad laga bilaabo Maajo 2024 ilaa Oktoobar 2025, kuwaas oo qaarkood dhowr jeer lagu dhuftay. Xogta BBC waxay sidoo kale muujineysaa in intii u dhaxeysay Abriil 2023 iyo Oktoobar 2025 ay 120 shaqaale caafimaad ah dhaawacmeen, 55 la dilay, 10 kalena si qasab ah loo afduubay ama la waayay.
Markhaatiyaal iyo eedeyn iska soo horjeeda
Dr Muhamed Suliman, oo ahaa dhakhtarka qalliinka el-Fasher intii lagu jiray go'doominta, ayaa sheegay in RSF ay isku dayeen inay isbitaallada ka bixiyaan shaqada sababtoo ah nidaamka caafimaadka waa tiirka magaalo kasta. Wasiirka caafimaadka ee RSF, Dr Alaa Eldin Nugud, ayaa ku tilmaamay eedeymaha inay yihiin propaganda, isagoo sheegay in Isbitaalka South loo isticmaalayay saldhig militari; BBC waxay sheegtay in aanay helin caddayn madax-bannaan oo taageeraysa sheegashadaas, halka dowladda Darfur ay si cad u diiday eedeymaha.
Isbitaalka Sacuudiga oo keliya ka shaqeynayay
Markii Isbitaalka South xirmay, shaqaalihiisa iyo qalabka hadhay waxaa loo raray Isbitaalka Sacuudiga ee dhalmada ee galbeedka magaalada. Lix dhakhtar ayaa BBC u sheegay in Isbitaalka Sacuudiga si isdaba joog ah loo weerarayay, maalmo qaarkood ilaa 25 jeer. Markii RSF ay qabsatay magaalada Oktoobar 2025, Isbitaalka Sacuudiga ayaa ahaa goobta caafimaad ee keliya ee shaqeynayay.
UN rights chief Volker Türk says the findings are "deeply disturbing" and may amount to war crimes; the RSF rejects the allegations as propaganda.
A BBC investigation has found evidence that Sudanese paramilitary fighters systematically destroyed el-Fasher's healthcare system during their siege and takeover of the Darfur city a year ago, documenting at least 43 attacks on hospitals and healthcare sites between May 2024 and October 2025.
Attacks documented and the toll on medical staff
The BBC said its sources on the ground recorded at least 43 separate attacks on hospitals and healthcare sites from May 2024 to October 2025, some hit multiple times. Its data for April 2023 to October 2025 shows 120 medical workers injured, 55 killed and 10 forcibly "disappeared" or abducted in el-Fasher. Under international law, attacks on health facilities and their staff are illegal during conflict.
Doctors describe a deliberate campaign
Dr Muhamed Suliman, a surgeon based in el-Fasher during the siege, said: "The RSF [were] trying to evacuate the hospitals, to put them out of service because the health system is the cornerstone of any city or any state." He added: "The RSF started hitting these areas so citizens have no longer any way to stay there. It was intense. It was deliberate. It was planned." Dr Izzeldin Ahmed Dawaud Asow, director general of the South Hospital, said he was beaten with rifle butts by RSF fighters who used ethnic slurs, and saved himself by pretending to be dead.
Reactions and the wider pattern
UN human rights chief Volker Türk called the findings "deeply disturbing", saying multiple RSF attacks on civilian infrastructure, including health facilities, were serious violations of international humanitarian law and may amount to war crimes. The RSF rejected the findings; its health minister described the allegations as propaganda and a deliberate attempt by the national army and its allies to smear the RSF's reputation. The WHO said events in el-Fasher represent "one of the clearest and most severe examples of the wider impact of the conflict on health care in Sudan".
